Flame Cat Ruby, April 1988 to February 2009

I'm very sad to inform the family that Papa had to put Flame to sleep today. She hadn't eaten in four days and the vet felt that it was her time to go.

When Papa first got her, Grandma described her as a "furry cube with legs." In the ensuing two decades, she was a very loyal friend to Papa. She really only loved him (which is part of why Papa loved her so much), although she tolerated Grandma's attention when Papa wasn't around.
