Londinium

Hello again from the city the Romans called "Londinium". We are having a great time falling in love with this city. It's like New York in some ways, but with less madness and friendlier people. Yesterday we saw St. Paul's Cathedral, a stunning architectural achievement by Sir Christopher Wren. We saw the Tower of London (no executions scheduled for that day, darn). We saw the fabulous Tower Bridge, walked over the London Bridge to see the London Dungeon, a profound waste of time, effort and money. In the evening we went on British Airway's "London Eye" (photo). The Eye is a 400+ foot tall ferris-wheel with fully-enclosed pods that hold about 20 people. It's located on the Thames River across from Parliament and Charing Cross Station, and the view was incredible. If you visit London, DO NOT miss the Eye!
