Poetry

I don't get poetry. I've tried to get it. But I just don't.

So I've decided I need a guru (or two or three). Actually, I think the job description is closer to that of a Sherpa than a guru. Yesterday I tried staring at the poetry section in Borders, flipping through the books that caught my eye; but I came home empty handed. So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to recommend a good anthology or poet for the begining poetry appreciator. Then, you must be willing to converse either through the blog or via email so that you can hold my hand through reading and understanding the poems. Anyone interested in this difficult task that is paid with only love and gratitude?
