saw this on tv.
new franchise
their goal is to open these places near college campuses
they sell cereals of all kinds with all kinds of toppings with different
choices of milk....put them in boxes that look like chinese take out.
from what i saw on tv and the web site the place looks like fun....
check it out if you can....unless of course you dont like cereals........

I read about this new 'restaurant'. It will probably do well, it's wierd enough. David and Rob would love it, I'm sure, cereal is their favorite food group. Are there any opening locally??
I checked out their website, and there is one in Chicago, we'll have to go there when we visit next month!

im sure it is ok. you dont get to #4 in the college ratings by being in an area that is too dangerous.
besides, i am sure that the campus is a cool place to visit....
couldnt disagree more. crime has a huge impact on school choice.
parents wouldnt send their children to schools that were in dangerous areas. if the areas were that dangerous and parents stopped sending their kids then the rankings wouldnt go down.
so go have some cereal.

SAFE ZONE. Schools have also come to realize that their responsibility doesn't end when students step off campus. Ten years ago, the West Philadelphia neighborhood that bordered the University of Pennsylvania was dicey at best. "We were on the phone with worried parents day and night," remembers Maureen Rush, the university's vice president for public safety. "The reputation of Penn was at stake, and we had to change it." The school developed a master plan that included hiring more university police, expanding the boundaries of campus police patrols, and installing closed-circuit video cameras on street corners. But the centerpiece of the plan was the redevelopment of the blighted blocks surrounding Penn.
Today crime is down 50 percent from a decade ago, and West Philly is a shining example of urban renewal, complete with new housing, hip coffeehouses, and trendy restaraunts.

there are two categories that I feel, in part are related to security issues:
Retention Rates. Students will not return to a school for their 2nd year if the university is unsafe.
Student Selectivity Rates. Students will not apply to a university with inadequate security and safety.

actually most penn students, as it was told to me, live on campus in campus housing...
well i think you should visit the campus anyway. frankly has to be one of the great centers of culture in phila. go during the day so you wont be tooooo scared.
im reading a book called "46 Pages"
it is about thomas paine and his writing of common sense....lot of philadelphia references. so
far it is a very good read.....
