fern said something about autobiographies so i decided to post my self portrait from art class last year. we had to have at least five symbols in it:
1.faces-2 different sides of my personality: introverted(on the right) and the brighter side that most people like to see(on your left). the bright one has a mask because i think it is more of a facade
2. clocks- how i sometimes live in the moment but often think of the future.
3. my little train- blue and yellow like ucla and i think berkeley(?) on the purple path that unites my two sides-introverted(blue) and extroverted(red)
4. the hard to see brain next to the box- thinking outside the box
5. butterfly- free spirit
6. paintbrush- artistic nature
7. pencil erasing- perfectionism
thats it. :) click it for a much better view. some things are hard to see

Ari, your self portrait piece is awesome! It took me a second to find your face on the left-hand-side, but once I saw it, it became very prevalent. I love that. Would it be fair to say Salvador Dali was an influence...?
Ariel-You are very talented. I really enjoy your paintings.
Wow, Ari! What a beautiful and introspective piece.
