Justice Antonin Scalia and California Attorney General Bill Lockyer Come to Chapman!

On August 29th at 3pm, Chapman will be hosting a reenactment of the famous economic liberty/substantive due process case, Lochner v. New York (You can read Justice Peckham's majority opinion here, Justice Harlan's dissent here, and Justice Holmes dissent here). The presiding justice will be United States Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Arguing for the state will be California's own Attorney General, Bill Lockyer. Representing Mr. Lochner will be Chapman Law Professor, John Eastman.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and best of all, it is FREE! Justice Scalia will also be giving a speech later that evening at 7:30pm. The speech is also FREE (my favorite price!). For more information, please visit Chapman's website.
